In the last Landline, I mentioned this home’s autumnal tradition of smoking aged mugwort. And I linked to an old Arthur Magazine piece by “Weedeater” columnist Nance Klehm that discussed this wonderfully gentle, energizing plant.
BUT…
There is another old piece of wisdom by Nance from a little-seen 2013 issue of Arthur about making your own “urban-foraged weedy smoking mixture” — she recommends mullein, marshmallow, catnip, lavender, Red Osier dogwood, and yes, mugwort — that fits with the themes of the last email much better.
